Pedestrian bridge 106x3m Nieuwegein
In 2016, the combination 'Sas van Vreeswijk BV' was awarded the contract for the design, construction, maintenance and financing of a third lock and widening of the Lekkanaal.
For this purpose, a ramp was needed to divert light traffic on site. A temporary bicycle bridge was chosen over the new lock bell to be constructed, from the lock to the Kazernedok, a local road.
Janson Bridging constructed a bicycle bridge from stock with a total length of 106 metres, consisting of three partial spans of 39, 33 and 33 metres.
