made facilities
Janson has been commissioned at many
seaports with tidal movement to facilitate the loading and
unloading of Ro-Ro vessels, particularly in the English Channel
from Zeebrugge to Cherbourg where many such facilities have
been installed. They are also in operation in major ports
like IJmuiden, Zeebruge and Rotterdam.
Many
of these linkspans are permanent installations showing excellent
economic returns for ports and ferry companies. However, when
in doubt of the long-term viability of a route, Janson has
the solution in semi-permanent installations on
a rental or lease basis
Permanent
This
modular facility can be built to conform to the customer's
requirements. It can be designed to accomodate the tidal movements,
currents, wind strength, wave patterns and mooring facilities
of a particular location. The length of the linkspan and size
of pontoon are flexible and can be configured to allow the
mooring of several ships for simultaneous loading and unloading.
A turnkey solution is available to the client with a fast
delivery and commissioning service.

Semi-permanent
When
in doubt about the initial viablity of a route or when a linkspan
is required on short notice, Janson can offer an easy solution
to the problem. Janson is the major European supplier of Unit
Construction bridges and pontoons, which are readily available
from rental stock reducing costly design and fabrication time
for a purpose built structure.
As a result a Ro-Ro facility for rental or lease as well as
purchase can be commisioned at short notice onto abutments
and moorings provided by the client.
